Jim O`Hara`s Cafe in Venice

Some of the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had. Biscuits are always fresh and the plates are never lacking for food. For $10 bucks a person there is no way you'll leave hungry or unsatisfied. Great place but good luck with the crowd during snowbirds season.

Small restaurant. Cheap hole in the wall look and feel with just 1 waitress.. I sat in a booth only to be told I can't sit there as a solo diner. I chose not to stay.. Never got to try there food.

I stopped in hear and had breakfast a few times. This place is a nice down home kinda place. Good food and good service. I will definitely go back if I am in the area.

Tucked away in a strip mall on the Tamiami Trail is a gem of a lunch and breakfast place. Locally owned and operated, the service is extra friendly. The quirky decor and unique menu reminds you that this is not one of a cookie-cutter restaurant chain. The food is excellent - the biscuits and gravy are not to be missed - and prices are moderate. Awesome little Diner! Went for breakfast and had crab cake Eggs Benedict and regular Eggs Benedict! Crab cakes were fresh and well seasoned and the thickness of ham on the regular was amazing!! Great portions and great atmosphere! Love the owner and staff! (:

Jim will treat you like family. We love his food and the atmosphere is great! An all American feel that has recently gone modern! The wait staff is very friendly and professional. The menu is very affordable and delicious. He is like a brother you always wanted. A great locally owned business that keeps its customers satisfied. What an amazing way to start the day!

What! brunch on sunday! Home made breakfast and biscuits and gravy etc! You will not be disappointed!

Great food and service! I luv how Jim uses little salt or pepper and leaves that up to me to add to my taste. He is also a true red, white & blue Patriot that loves his country.

Coffee very,very weak warm water. Got the 1/2 French toast 2 eggs over med whites running did not eat 2 sausage patties, I got a 1/4 of French toast. Not much taste .husband got a skillet no taste at all all must cooked in a old teflon pan. 26.00 dollars later still hungry. Staff was friendly too regulars maybe? Won't go back not good

Nice, friendly place. Greeted by ownwe. Servers were attentive. Orders were not as we ordered, but food was still good. Large portions.Neat memorabilia of old Venice township, fishing stuff and railroad stuff.Nice roadside atmosphere.

Great staff gives Jim's a 4! This is definitely not a place to go if you want to eat healthy.

It's an old school non-corporate diner run by salt of the earth New Englanders. They have great coffee that is ground fresh before every brewing. They also have a big menu and a great variety of specials. Check the white boards! I couldn't recommend this place more.

Local diner serving great food at very reasonable prices. Small place so on Sunday morning there may be a wait. Staff are very friendly. Only open for breakfast & lunch. Don't go here if you are watching your calories .

This is such a great cafe! Great environment, great boss, great service! Food is always delicious and amazing. I drive all the way from Englewood just to eat here. Highly recommend.

One of the best Reubens ive ever had. Southern sweet tea and amazing potato salad. They even use cardboard straws 💙💚 100% recommend

Bugs on the walls, coffee served in cracked chipped glass mugs, server wiping table and booth with the same dry towel no sanitizer Grossss!!!!!! How are they still I'm business.

Don't go there the food is outstanding service is outstanding places small I hate waiting for tables that's why I don't want you to go there but all seriously one of the best breakfast places on the west coast of Florida the country Benny is to die for I give it an A+ because there's no higher recommendation
